Study: Autistic Kids Diagnosed Late
Many children may be diagnosed with autism much older than an appropriate age to benefit from early behavioral intervention, which is considered the gold standard treatment for the disorder, according to 2011 national survey findings released Thursday from the National Institute of Mental Health.
